Handmade silver from the Karen hill tribes!
Just so we're clear on this: there isn't a woman named Karen who makes this jewelry. For hundreds of years, nomadic hill tribes migrated south from China into Burma, Laos and Thailand. The Karen are the largest group in Thailand, many still wearing their traditional metal bands on the neck, ankles and wrists.

Skilled farmers, they practice crop rotation and use elephants to clear the land. The silversmith trade is passed down through the generations. Each handmade ornament is a unique masterpiece that represents centuries of Karen culture and art, often engraved with plant, animal or geologic designs.

The silver content is higher than sterling, usually 97+%. It's more pliable, comfortable to wear and has an organic, burnished look like pewter.
